A Blind For Every Room Of The House

Because vertical blinds are so versatile and every blind is made to measure they can be used in literally any room of the house. Our collection of fabrics has been selected to try and solve the most common problems people face when trying to dress their windows.

Blinds For Living Rooms:

Living rooms are often where we spend the majority of our free time at home so it is important to dress the windows with something that looks great as well as offering the functionality needed for day to day life. We recommend using a dim-out fabric for these areas as they will offer complete privacy whilst still filtering some light into the room. These are available in plain, jacquard and even patterned finishes depending on your individual taste and budget.

Blinds For Bedrooms:

The most common request we receive when customers’ are looking for a blind to go in the bedroom is that it has a blackout fabric so that they can sleep in past day break. The range we chose to offer in response to this includes a huge range of plain coloured fabrics, textures such as subtle stripes, faux suede’s and even a few luxury finishes for those that want a little more.

Vertical blinds do a great job at offering darkness in the bedroom, however due to the nature of how they are made you will not achieve 100% blackout as some light can seep between the slats and in the gaps where the vanes attach to the head rail. They do however offer fantastic value for money and a good enough job at keeping the light at bay for most.

Blinds For Overlooked Windows:

If your windows are overlooked by neighbours or a room at street level getting the balance between privacy and blocking out too much light can be a difficult balancing act. The ideal solution we have found is to use a sunscreen fabric. This creates a one way screen where you can see out during the day but others can’t see in.

They work by weaving performance fabrics together to create an open mesh, light can pass through the open holes which is what allows you to see out but from outside where daylight is brighter people will just see the mesh.

Blinds For Sloping Windows:

Triangular or sloping windows are easily dealt with using a sloping vertical blind. A sloping vertical blind operates just like a normal blind with the difference that the head rail has been designed with specialised trucks and hangers to keep each vane hanging straight. We then calculate how long each vane needs to be based on the angle of your slope so that they all finish neatly at the bottom of the window.

Blinds For Bathroom, Kitchens & Wet Rooms:

Rooms with excess amounts of moisture have traditionally been a tricky subject in the blind world as most polyester or cotton fabrics will absorb water and become problematic over time. Today we have a whole host of waterproof fabrics made from PVC, Vinyl and even Rigid PVC which are ideal for moist conditions.

Maintenance is a doddle as the slats can be simply left to air dry on their own after a shower or you can wipe them clean using a damp cloth if they become dirty.

Blinds For Conservatories:

Vertical blinds are particularly popular in conservatories as they can be made as wide or long as they are needed within reason meaning you can use a single blind to span a whole wall of glass without gaps or unsightly joins.

The best fabric to use for a conservatory will depend on what you will use the room for and how much light the room gets as well. For a budget option you can go wrong with a Semi-Opaque fabric in a plain or jacquard finish. If the conservatory gets a lot of heat our range of sunscreen fabrics would be ideal to reduce the gain and cut out the glare you can get on TV’s or computer screens.

Blinds For Commercial Settings:

Our range of fire retardant fabrics has been specially selected for the contract market offering a colour palette of plain and blackout fabrics in a wide range of colours. All of our commercial vertical blind fabrics have been tested to BS 5867 standards so can be used in just about any commercial setting including hotels, bars and restaurants.
