Q. How do I measure my window for day and night blinds?
A. You measure the same as you would for any other roller blind. Our handy guide can be viewed by clicking here
which explains how you measure inside or outside a recess and shows exactly where to measure too and from. Q. What colour is the cassette at the top?
A. The cassette at the top and the free hanging bottom rail are currently only available in white. Q. When the blind is closed will it create blackout?
A. No, the solid part of the blind is a dim-out material so will filter light but won't completely blackout the room. Q. When the blind is lowered all the way down will the blind finish in the closed or open position?
A. The blind will finish in the closed position at the bottom of your window. For this reason it is important to have your measurements correct as there won't be additional fabric on the roll like a traditional roller blind. Q. How do I operate the blind?
A. The blind is raised and lowered with a chain control mechanism which is fitted on the left or right hand side and comes in either white plastic or nickel. These options are selected when filling in our order form. Q. What size is the top cassette?
A. The cassette that holds the blind is 7.2cm deep and 8.2cm tall and can be top or face fixed so you will need at least this much space where you want to fit the blind to install it. Q. How quick is delivery?
A. The lead time on day and night blinds is between 3-5 working days for manufacture and are then shipped on a 48 hour service with DPD so you can expect delivery in between 5-7 working days but we will keep you updated with a dispatch notification and DPD will also text you with delivery updates. Q. Are day and night vision blinds child safe?
A. Yes, the system we use is fully compliant with European safety standards and is supplied with a tension device to tie the chain off against the wall. As a member of the "Make it Safe Campaign" Order Blinds only sells products that are compliant with all relevant legislation. Q. How tall is the mesh stripe compare to the opaque stripe?
A. The size of the mesh does vary depending on the fabric design you choose but they fall into 3 categories:
Spring, Madera, Pinta and Aroso fabrics have 5cm of mesh and then 7.5cm of opaque material.
Terra fabrics have 2.5cm of mesh and then 4.5cm of opaque material.
Binale fabrics have 4cm of mesh and then 5.8cm of opaque material.
