How To Fit Your Blinds

Fitting your new blinds has been made as easy as possible. All of our blinds are provided with full fitting instructions specific to the product in each pack.

Roller blind fitting information:

All of our roller blinds are suitable for top or face fixing the brackets. They are not designed to be side fixed with the exception of our total blackout blind system. If you have a steel lintel above your window recess this can normally be drilled through easily using a HSS drill bit on a slow, low torque setting. For really difficult lintels you can use a Tungsten Carbide drill bit.

Vertical blind fitting information:

Our vertical blinds can be top or face fixed to your window. It is important to decide whether you will top or face fit the blind before you order your blind as the brackets we supply are different for each method. Once you know how you will fit the blind you can select this whilst ordering your blinds.

Roman blind fitting information

Our roman blinds are made on your choice of head rail systems. We offer a cord and cleat system and a chain operated system which can both be top or face fixed to your window.

Wood venetian blind fitting information

All of our wood venetian blinds with the exception of our Elite range are supplied with box brackets for easy installation. These are fitted at either end of the blind, plus additional centre supports on wider width blinds. Your brackets can be top or face fixed.

Skylight blind fitting information

Our skylight blinds are all fitted in the same way regardless of the brand of window you have. They can be fitted in minutes by following our simple to follow installation instructions.

Perfect fit blind fitting information:

Fitting a perfect fit blind is very straight forward and the instructions can be downloaded by clicking here.

You can also watch our video below that shows how a perfect fit blind is fitted. The concept is the same whether you order a perfect fit venetian or roller blind. The exception to this rule is if you want to use a perfect fit roller blind as a bottom up blind. Then you would follow the same process but install the blind upside down.

Aluminium venetian blind fitting information

We offer two different types of aluminium venetian blind products. Both ranges can be top or face fixed however the brackets supplied are slightly different depending on which product you choose. Please click the relevant link below to download the right instructions for your product.

Electric roller blind fitting information

Electric roller blinds are essentially just as easy to install as a manual roller blind. Once the blind has been installed you might need to fine tune the limits of your blind to suit your window perfectly. Bottom up blind fitting information

Bottom up blinds can be fitted onto the window sill or they can also be face fixed either outside a recess or to the window itself. The most important thing when installing a bottom up blind is that your cords are fitted perfectly square so that the blind runs up and down evenly.
