Blackout Vertical Blinds

Blackout vertical blinds are an ideal choice for bedrooms, nurseries or indeed any room in which you want to be able to sleep in whilst it is light outside. The versatility of vertical blinds makes them an ideal choice for wider windows as unlike rollers or Venetian blinds they can be made several metres wide on one track. You also have the control of being able to tilt the vanes open or closed to just the right angle making them practical for use throughout the day.

A Quality Product:

We use a 100% polyester blackout thermal fabric to make all the blinds in this range. The vanes are 89mm (3 1/2”) wide and come complete with the following:

• Strong metal head rail on your preferred operation method.
• Top or face fixing brackets as you specify when ordering.
• Weights and chains to keep the vanes straight and link them together.
• Plastic hangers to attach your vanes to the head rail.
• On our cord & chain operated head rail you will also receive a child safety device with your blind to attach the operational cords to the wall.

What level of blackout can be achieved?

The material used on our blackout vertical blinds is complete blackout regardless of which colour fabric you choose. This is achieved by using a 3 pass blackout fabric where the face fabric is essentially painted black and then an acrylic backing is added to co-ordinate with the face fabric.

Although the slats overlap each other as with any vertical blind you will have some light bleed between the slats and either side of the stack but overall the level of blackout is very good.
