Please read the guide below and let us know which type of measurement you are providing:

Recess Size

If you want to fit your blind within the window recess as shown above, please provide us with Recess Size measurements.

To do this you will need to measure inside the window recess from wall to wall for the width and from ceiling to window sill for the drop.

You should take the measurements three times to make sure you get the most accurate sizes - at the top, at the middle and at the bottom for the width and at the top, the middle and the right for the drop.

Please give us the smallest of the three measurements for both the width and the drop.

Make sure you do not make any reductions from these sizes yourself. We'll make your blinds slightly smaller on the width than the sizes you give us to make sure that it fits into the space with enough room for it to be installed easily, while still covering as much of the window as possible.

Blind Size

If you want to fit your blind outside of the window recess we recommend adding at least 10cm onto the width and 10cm onto the drop. This will give you a 5cm overlap at each edge to help minimise light leakage.

Measuring Instructions

Always take your measurements with a steel tape measure to ensure you get accurate readings. Fabric tape measures can stretch and provide false sizes.

Don't forget to check your measurements two or three times to make sure your blinds will be made to the correct size!

The control chain/cord for your blind can be on either the left or right side.

When deciding, consider whether you have any furniture that will make reaching the controls harder on a certain side; or if you are having multiple blinds in the same room whether you want them all on the same side or on opposite sides.
