Made to measure Roman blinds are an elegant and beautiful way to dress your windows. The soft folds of fabric create a textured and warming finish which is unrivalled by other types of blind. This makes made to measure Roman blinds the ideal choice for living rooms or even in bedrooms where you want to create a warm and cosy feel.
Our collections of Made To Measure Roman Blinds
Our collection of made to measure roman blinds has been designed to offer a wide range of plain, textured and patterned options for just about every room.
All of our roman blinds are handmade in the UK and are customised to your exact sizes. They can be paired with either a standard or blackout lining depending on where you want the blind to be fitted and we even offer a choice of head rail systems depending on your preference.
The collection includes neutral shades including white, cream and beige roman blinds that look fantastic in just about any setting through to bright and bold colours such as pink, orange and red coloured fabrics that are suited to more daring design schemes.
Blackout Roman blinds
Almost all of our fabrics can be made as a blackout Roman to suit bedrooms, nurseries or indeed any room you might want to sleep in during the day simply by adding a blackout lining. This can be selected when placing you're order.
The rod pockets at the back of the blind which create the folds in the fabric are made in a unique way which ensures that no light gets through the fabric.
In addition, the blackout lining used on our blinds has been specially selected for its thermal insulating properties. This means that as well as creating blackout, when you select this option you will improve the insulating properties of your window further keeping your room warmer in the winter months.
Frequently asked questions about roman blinds
Q. How do I measure my window for roman blinds?
A. You can measure your window for fitting either inside or outside the recess. Our handy guide can be viewed by clicking here
which explains how you measure inside or outside a recess and shows exactly where to measure too and from.
Q. How much do you take off the size to fit into a recess space?
A. We reduce the width by 1cm, the drop is left the same so that when fully extended the blind will finish just touching the window sill.
Q. I am fitting my blinds onto a bay window. How do I work out what size I need?
A. Because the reduction that is needed depends on the type of head rail you would like to have the blinds made on, the shape of your bay and the angle that your blinds will meet at - Please measure the full distance you would like to cover as well as the angles that your windows meet and send this over to us and we can work out the reductions needed. You can contact us either by email: email@example.com or phone on 0800 1488229.
Q. I'm not sure about the colour. Can you send me a sample piece of fabric before ordering?
A. Yes absolutely. We offer a free sample service on all of our blinds so you can be sure the colour is right for your home before ordering.
Simply choose the fabrics you would like to see (up to 5) and complete our sample request form by either clicking here
or select it from the product ordering page.
Q. Are there any limitations on the size of roman blind I can have?
A. The minimum size we can make a roman blind is 35cm wide x 40cm drop and can make blinds all the way up to 250cm wide x 250cm drop.
Because the majority of fabrics we use are around 140cm wide we would need to make blinds over 130cm wide with joins. This is where we would make the blind with a central panel and a side panel on either side that are sewn together to make the width you require.
