    Standard Roller System

    Standard Roller System

Our standard roller system allows the fabric roll, brackets and blind mechanism to be seen. They can be either top fixed or face fixed, but not side fixed. This is the most common system used and is the one you've probably seen around the most.

To give our system a premium finish we supply colour coordinating plastic bracket covers with our standard roller system at no additional cost. Just slip them over the metal bracket once its screwed into place for a neat, attractive finish.

    Luxury Roller System

    Luxury Roller System

If you choose our luxury roller system we will supply you with a smart 7cm tall aluminium cassette that hides the roll of fabric, the brackets and the blind mechanism. It also removes the gap you would usually see between the ceiling and the fabric rol, giving a neater and more high end, contemporary finish.

The cassette can be either top fixed or face fixed dependning where you are fitting your blind. Top fix is used when fitting your brackets at the top to the 'ceiling' area inside a recess; while face fixed is used when brackets are attached vertically on the wall for the cassette to clip into such as when you are fitting above a window outside of the recess.

For most fabrics the cassette will have a piece of the same fabric as the blind itself fitted into the cassette as seen in the image above, however, if you are purchasing a sunscreen or sheer blind this fabric cannot be used as an insert and so the cassette will be supplied plain as shown below:

    Customer Own Fabric Roller Blind

We understand that a big part of turning your house into a home is how you personalise it and we want to help you do this in any way we can. If you have fallen in love with a specific fabric we are more than happy to turn this into a bespoke made to measure roller blind.

To do this we heat bond a 100% cotton backing to your fabric to add the rigidity required for a roller blind before overlocking the edges and completing the blind making process by hand.

You can choose from either a range of lining options including both daylight and blackout finishes.

What types of fabric can be used?

The bonding operation can be completed on most fabric types although we recommend avoiding checks, stripes or tartans, raw silks or materials with a very open weave as this process can sometimes warp the design.

To ensure that your fabric is suitable you can send a small piece of your chosen material to us to test bond before investing in the full amount of fabric for your blind.

Can you source the fabric for me?

Unfortunately not - we believe a lot of the fun of a custom order is in the choosing of the fabric so you can feel its quality and assess any possible flaws or imperfections before you send the material to us to be made into a blind.

    Are there any size restrictions?

The size of blind that can be made is determined by the width of the fabric you want to use. We currently do not offer to join customer’s own fabric so can make a blind up to 5cm shorter than the width of the fabric you want us to use.

Some fabrics e.g. a plain fabric will be suitable to turn on their side. This will allow you to have a wider blind with a limited drop.

We require 30cm of fabric on the drop to make the blind up and ensure that the top roll is covered when the blind is fully lowered.

    • Fabric is 137cm Wide.

    • Turning the fabric on its side to make a blind 240cm wide would have a maximum drop of 107cm.

Please Note This blind is suitable for top fixing or face fixing only, it cannot be side fixed.

If you are ever not sure or would like some advise on how to work out what is possible please feel free to contact our customer service team on:

Please Note This blind is suitable for top fixing or face fixing only, it cannot be side fixed.

How much fabric will I need?

Once we know what fabric you want to use and what size blinds you would like us to make we will always confirm how much fabric is required; but as a rule of thumb to get an idea the following guide can be used:

    • If the blind is being made from a single width of fabric = The drop of the window + 30cm

    • If the blinds are being made from a patterned fabric you would also need to add a pattern repeat of fabric per drop of material for us to pattern match your blinds.

Please Note This blind is suitable for top fixing or face fixing only, it cannot be side fixed.

    Roll Direction

As standard we will reverse roll a bespoke roller blind. If you would prefer the blind to be standard rolled please let us know when placing your order.

Standard roll is where the fabric will roll off the back of the roller tube taking the blind close to the windows itself. As a result you will see the white or cream backing at the top of the roll.

Reverse roll is where the fabric rolls of the front of the roll, into the room so that you see your fabric rather than the backing at the top of the blind.

    Sending us the fabric

Once you have placed your order you will need to send the fabric to us. We strongly recommend inspecting the fabric for flaws and that any patterns are printed correctly before sending us the fabric as this can affect the overall finish of the blind.

We will always inspect the fabric again for pattern straightness and highlight issues that we spot but we cannot be held responsible if the blind doesn’t look great if this is a result of us being sent faulty fabric.

We also strongly recommend send us the fabric on a roll, rather than folded. Depending on the fabric, once a material has been folded, the crease lines can remain even after ironing. On a roller blind these will be very pronounced and we cannot be held responsible for these lines if the fabric has been sent to us folded.

Once your order has been placed please send your fabric, with a copy of your order included to:
