Are Perfect Fit Roller Blinds suitable for doors?

Yes, this range has been specifically designed for use on doors. The fabric collection that we offer has been rigorously tested and developed to ensure it works perfectly with a longer drop of up to 200cm.

 

How easy are they to install?

These blinds offer one of the easiest methods of installation with no drilling required - in fact all you need is a screwdriver and a credit card. It takes minutes to assemble the frame after which all you need to do is slot the brackets between the glass and the beading by using a credit card as a guide. The final stage couldn’t be simpler, just line your frame up with the brackets and push it down on to each one. Full fitting instructions are always included with all of our blinds.

 

How do they operate?

The window blind sits within a neat, contemporary frame which is attached directly on to the window using brackets that fit between the glass and the rubber beading of the door. This means that they move with the doors as they are opened and closed without causing any restriction.

 

To pull your blind down you simply pull down on the handle whilst tilting it backwards. Once it is in the desired position you can tilt the handle back towards you to lock it in place. When you wish to adjust your blind again you tilt the handle backwards to unlock it and pull your blind up to the required position, tilting your handle forward again to lock it in position.

How can I work out which bracket size I need?

All you need to do is place a piece of card (or a credit card) flat against the window frame, overhanging the glass. Next measure the distance from the card to the glass using a steel tape measure or ruler. Simply note the measurement down and choose from the relevant range of sizes when you are ready to order your blinds.

How do I measure for Perfect Fit Blinds for Doors?

Can I use them on Bi-fold doors?

It really depends on the type of bi-fold door. If your doors are double glazed and the seal between the beading and the glass is made of rubber with a depth of more than 18mm, then Perfect Fit blinds could be an option. However, the roller blind cassette at the top of the blind stands proud of the door by 4cm meaning that if your bi-fold doors are designed to stack back completely with no gaps, then this system will not be suitable. In this instance you could consider our Perfect Fit Venetian Blinds which only protrude 1cm from the door frame, or consider fitting other types of blinds in to or above the recess of your doors.

 

Can I use them on French doors?

Yes, these are the ideal solution for French doors! The brackets fit neatly between the window beading and the glass meaning that the frame can be simply clipped on top, resulting in a stylish solution that moves with the door without causing obstruction.

 

Can I use them on sliding doors?

The cassette that the roller blind sits in at the top of the blind protrudes by 4cm from the door in to the room. This means that this system won’t be suitable for some sliding doors as the gaps between them may be less than this. Consider using our Perfect Fit Venetian Blinds as the frames only protrude 1cm in to the room, or consider fitting other types of blinds in to or above the recess of your doors.

 

Can I have blackout fabric?

Yes, all of our range is available in a blackout fabric which is a specially sourced, thinner material than our standard base cloth. This particular fabric has been selected to prevent any catching that can be caused with longer drops. Due to the nature of its backing, this fabric provides thermal insulation keeping the warmth in during Winter and reducing the heat that enters your space during the Summer.

 

Are they available as Bottom Up Blinds?

Perfect fit binds for doors can be used as standard or fitted upside down as bottom up blinds. This means there is the added benefit and flexibility of being able to easily swap them around depending on the time of year and the level of privacy and protection you would like from the sun.

 

Are Perfect Blinds Cordless?

Yes they have no hanging cords or chains, so are completely child and pet safe.
